1926-1944 – Childhood & Early Influences
Pete is born, his family moves frequently to find work and be with family, and eventually settles in Sheridan, Arkansas at the latter part of the depression.
Pete moved frequently during his childhood years, most notably:
– Hampton, Arkansas (1926-1928)
– Detroit, Michigan (1928-1931)
– Hampton/Norman/Hazon/Stuttgart, Arkansas (1931-1934)
– Sheridan, Arkansas (1935-1944)
1944-1956 – Deciding on the Ministry & Starting Out
Pete leaves Sheridan for college and discovers a direction to help people. He begins seminary at Perkins, SMU.

When he arrived in Shreveport, Lousiana, Pete began to be known as Barry Bailey.
