“Broadmoore United Methodist was already involved with the Carville Leper Colony when I became senior minister. We continued that marvelous relationship by providing food for people living in the colony. Together we initiated inviting people who were in remission with leprosy to come speak at the church. We would help them find jobs in the community. The church congregation loved being involved.”
